Details & Inspection Notes

Fit to trucks running an NP205 transfer case specifically, this remanufactured three-speed automatic carries an automatic valve body and a forward shift pattern on the Chevy bellhousing, built for four-wheel-drive use matched to that particular transfer case rather than offered as a universal fit.

What makes it transfer-case specific

Because the fit is tied to the NP205, confirm your truck actually runs that transfer case before ordering rather than assuming any Chevy-pattern automatic in this catalog will bolt up the same way. First gear lands at 2.48:1, splines on the input shaft number 30, and the case is aluminum finished in black. The pan is stock-profile steel with a chrome finish, and output uses a slip-on yoke.

What ships separately

Plan your own converter, flexplate, controller, and wiring harness, since none of them come in the crate, and the cooler, fluid, and dipstick are the same story. It is not lockup compatible. Sold individually, each unit is remanufactured before it ships rather than built new, and matched to that NP205 fitment rather than offered as a catch-all replacement for every Chevy 4x4.

Does this fit any 4x4 Chevy truck? Only ones running an NP205 transfer case; check your application before buying. Is a torque converter included? No, plan to source one separately to match your build and your preferred stall speed.
