Details & Inspection Notes

Aimed at operators who run a motor daily rather than on weekends, this used Mercury 75ELPT SeaPro Command Thrust pairs a 75 HP inline-four with a Command Thrust gearcase and remote steering for commercial and charter duty.

What Command Thrust and SeaPro add

The inline-4, SOHC engine runs electronic fuel injection instead of a carburetor, controlled by a SmartCraft ECM with digital inductive ignition, and Mercury's Engine Guardian system watches for trouble while running. It is DTS-compatible if paired with matching digital controls. The Command Thrust lower unit is built to put more torque down at lower rpm than a standard-duty gearcase, which is the point for heavier hulls that need thrust without straining the motor to get it.

What to confirm before ordering

Throttle and shift controls are mechanical, sold separately from the motor, so budget for that if you do not already own compatible controls. Steering is remote, built for a console-and-cable setup rather than a tiller. The shaft runs 20 inches, starting is Mercury's Smart Start electric system, and dry weight is 363 lbs. No propeller is included; plan to size one to your hull and load separately. Mercury specifies 87-octane fuel at minimum with an NMMA-rated synthetic-blend oil.

Q: Are throttle and shift controls included? No, mechanical controls are sold separately from this motor.
