Details & Inspection Notes

Honda's BF150DLRA WT is the white-cowling version of this 150 hp, 20-inch-shaft, remote-mechanical-steering outboard, mechanically the same engine as the standard-finish model aside from cosmetics.

White cowling notes

WT changes only the color of the cowlings to white; the four-cylinder, 2354cc powerhead, EFI fuel system, electric starting, and 20-inch shaft underneath carry over unchanged from the standard-color model Honda also sells. Measure your transom for that shaft length before placing an order either way, since the white finish has no bearing on fit.

Running range and weight

Full-throttle operation sits between 5000 and 6000 rpm per Honda's published rating, and this motor weighs 472 lbs. Remote mechanical steering means it is controlled through a cable and wheel rather than a handle mounted at the engine, so plan your console layout around a wheel and cable run rather than a tiller arm. None of that changes with the cowling color, only the look at the back of the boat, so pick the finish you prefer without worrying about a performance trade-off.

Common questions

Is a propeller included? No, that is a separate purchase.

What comes standard? Equipment-wise, nothing changes from the standard-color model apart from the cowling color: expect a charging circuit, switch-controlled trim and tilt, a cooling-flush port, the owner's manual, and Honda's 5-year coverage.
