Details & Inspection Notes

Built around the proven Falcon racing gearbox, this kit fits Chevrolet Small Block V8 engines made between 1955 and 1985 with a 2-piece rear main seal, and bundles a precision steel bellhousing, drive flange, and hydraulic clutch hardware rather than a storage stand.

What the transmission offers

Falcon's integral hydraulic clutch again stands in for a conventional clutch assembly, with neutral and reverse alongside the 2.40:1 low gear and direct-drive top end, rated to 600 lb-ft of torque. The case comes in at approximately 43 pounds, lighter than Falcon's 1-piece-seal counterpart, with 10 splines on its 1.0625-inch input and 27 splines on a 1.1875-inch output riding a slip yoke.

What comes in the kit

Alongside the transmission, Falcon boxes up a steel bellhousing sized for 2-piece rear main seal applications, a matching steel drive flange, a braided hydraulic clutch line with its fittings, a bolt kit for the bellhousing, and racing fluid, plus the paperwork to go with it; shifter and driveshaft yoke remain separate purchases.

Q: How does this differ from Falcon's other 2-piece-seal transmission? This kit trades a stand for an included bellhousing, drive flange, and hydraulic clutch line, running a lighter case built around a different spline count for its shafts.

The same twelve-month promise against material and workmanship defects covers this kit too, so long as it stays in normal racing service and the install is done right.
