Details & Inspection Notes

This used Evinrude E60HSL is the white-control version of Evinrude's 60-hp High Output platform, a three-cylinder engine rather than the brand's standard two-cylinder 60-hp block.

What the spec sheet shows

This High Output engine displaces 79 cubic inches, and it climbs to a 5,000-5,500 rpm ceiling at the top end of the throttle. Gearing at the primary sits at 2.36:1, and a Trac-1 unit handles trim and tilt duties rather than a manual lever at the stern.

Setup and weight

Steering is set up remote-console, with a tiller accessory sold as an extra, and start is electric. White-finish controls are the visible difference between this unit and a graphite-finish version of the same High Output engine sold elsewhere. At 320 lbs, budget for the extra mass a three-cylinder block adds over a standard two-cylinder 60-hp motor.

Matching an existing helm

If white-finish Evinrude controls already sit elsewhere on your boat, this unit keeps that look consistent instead of mixing in a graphite-finish panel from the other version of this engine.

What's the shaft length? 20 inches.

Is this the same engine as the graphite-control version? Yes; the control finish is the difference.

Can a tiller handle be added? Yes, it's offered as a separate accessory for this engine's remote console setup.
