Details & Inspection Notes

The 350 HO Deluxe is assembled around a cast-iron, four-bolt-main block, topped with iron Vortec cylinder heads carrying 1.94-inch intake and 1.5-inch exhaust valves. Chevrolet Performance specs this engine at 333 horsepower and 381 lb-ft of torque, with a maximum of 5,100 rpm; confirm the exact horsepower rating with us before ordering.

What is inside the long block

A hydraulic flat-tappet camshaft needs no periodic lash adjustments, with intake duration at 212 degrees and exhaust at 221, riding on lift figures of .435 and .460 inch respectively. The rotating assembly pairs cast-aluminum pistons with a nodular-iron crankshaft and powdered-metal connecting rods, inside a 64cc combustion chamber, at roughly 9:1 compression.

What ships assembled and what does not

Cylinder heads, oil pan, timing cover, valve covers, harmonic balancer, and flexplate are already in place on this engine, while the carburetor, intake manifold, and distributor are included in the box but not installed. A water pump, throttle body, computer, and wiring harness are not part of this package. Premium fuel is recommended, and if this engine change is happening in California, confirm current Bureau of Automotive Repairs compliance first.

Q: Does it come ready to start right out of the box? The long block ships assembled, but the carburetor, intake manifold, and distributor still need to be bolted on.
