Details & Inspection Notes
Same manual-transmission Mustang combo as BluePrint's black-finish listing, matching it on every spec but one: the accessory drive here wears a polished finish, for builders chasing a chrome look under the hood instead of blacked-out hardware.
What changes with the finish
Polished billet aluminum carries the compressor and power-steering mounts up front, the one visible difference from its black-finish counterpart. Everything else matches: a fuel-injected small-block at 415 horsepower, 10.0:1 compression, built around a 3.400-inch-stroke crank, forged I-beam rods, and forged pistons under HP9009 aluminum heads.
Gearbox and ignition
The clutch and bellhousing come from the same supplier as the black-finish combo: a McLeod Super Street Pro single-disc unit, hydraulic throwout bearing, aluminum bellhousing, and billet flywheel, running five gears from 2.87:1 down through a 0.81:1 overdrive. Fuel injection is self-contained on this build, with its own pump kit supplying a dual-plane intake that's sparked by a Pro Billet distributor; scripted Mustang valve covers and a 7-quart capacity oil pan round out the package. This combo fits Ford applications from 1968 through 2001; it's not designed for EGR compatibility.
What's the real difference between this and the black-drive version? Just the accessory-drive finish; the engine specs and the manual gearbox underneath are identical between the two listings, down to the gear ratios.
Is a flywheel part of this package? Yes, the manual-transmission combo includes the billet flywheel as part of the clutch and bellhousing assembly.
